Orce, located in the extreme north-east of the province of Granada, is currently characterised by an abrupt landscape dominated by ravines and gullies whose beds are usually dry.

However, when precipitation falls suddenly and heavily, the waters, laden with sediment, rush through them. In the area, this phenomenon is known as "cloudburst".

On the other hand, Orce is well known for housing fundamental evidence for understanding the first human settlement in Europe. Among them, a human milk tooth y thousands of carved stone tools by the first settlers of that continent.
