Professor of the Department of Prehistory and Archaeology \/ University Institute of Peace and Conflict, University of Granada.<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.orce.es\/\">Orce<\/a>, located in the extreme north-east of the province of Granada, is currently characterised by an abrupt landscape dominated by ravines and gullies whose beds are usually dry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, when precipitation falls suddenly and heavily, the waters, laden with sediment, rush through them. In the area, this phenomenon is known as \"cloudburst\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, Orce is well known for housing fundamental evidence for understanding the first human settlement in Europe.
